How to generate more sales w/ Bob Burg

Bob Burg; Sales expert, Speaker, and Author.

Today’s Episode Summary:

On today’s podcast, I have a very special guest, Mr. Bob Burg; a sales expert, speaker, and author of several books on sales, marketing and influence, with total book sales approaching two million copies. Bob started his career 40 years ago with a sales system that changed his destiny in the world of sales forever and now he is helping other people to grow in sales. Bob also has a library and has turned the knowledge and wisdom of other people into his own through its right application. Today Bob is sharing with us his wisdom of 40 years on sales and he is also entertaining questions of our Clubhouse audience.

  1. Bob explains that selling a product/service is not just about going out and telling people about it. It’s about having a well-proven system that guarantees to generate more sales. Such type of sales system is usually based on logical and specific set of ‘how to’ principles which can help you to predictably achieve more sales.
  2. Secondly, don’t make “money” as your prime reason of sales. Rather focus on providing “value” to your customers because money is just a reward for hitting the target of serving others. If you will approach selling this way, people will willingly exchange their money with the value, they will also be your walking ambassadors, and they will refer you to everybody.
  3. As a salesperson, you should focus on the wants and desires of your customer. You should provide them value that THEY think is a value, not what YOU think is a value.
  4. If you are a Solopreneur or you are running a small company then you should focus on making enough money so that you could afford to hire people who could take care of your administrative work. And if you will not hire someone at some stage or point, you won't be able to grow sustainably.
  5. If you want that your employees, particularly young employees, follow the core values of your company then you should remind them again and again what your core values are and how your business wants them to work. Secondly, your own actions must be aligned with your core values otherwise your employees won’t follow these values either.
  6. If you want to increase charges for your service, first make sure you are providing a significant amount of value. Secondly, calculate the number of hours you are giving to a client (whose rates you want to increase); if you are investing X amount of time on a client, that X you can give to 2 clients, you should better increase your rates.

These are few sales tips from our honorable guest & sales expert; Mr. Bob Burg. All of these tips have the potential to generate more sales and bring more money into your hands.

If you are selling any product/service and your sales are stagnant and you want to grow them then don't miss this episode. You will get a mind-changing sales approach in this podcast and it will help you to generate more sales for your business.

Ingredients that Make a Company Successful

Andy Aranda; Entrepreneur, and “The Modern Day Tradesman Show” Host.

Today’s Episode Summary:

Today’s guest, Andy Aranda, is an entrepreneur who has a mission to eradicate the stereotypes of tradesmen and bring respect back to the trades. Behind Andy’s mission, there is a story of his childhood that motivated him to pursue this mission.

Andy came from a family of plumbing tradesmen. When he was a kid, his father –who was a plumber- used to take him on jobs with himself. During that time, Andy realized that plumbers have a bad reputation in the society and people feel ashamed to be a plumber. To change this mindset, Andy started his career as a plumber in 2013 and changed the standard for the entire industry. Today Andy is sharing with us his valuable thoughts on his mission “bringing the respect back to trades” and varieties of other topics that can help you grow your business.

Andy says that, like tradesmen, salespeople also have a bad reputation and to bring respect back to these professions you have to win the trust of your clients, you have to guarantee your clients that you are not here to make sales only, in fact, you are here to genuinely help them and to solve their problem. Moreover, you have to provide your clients what they actually need and you have to explain to them the results of the product/service that you are selling them.  If you will do that, you and your clients both will get the desired results.

Andy is also sharing with us his 3 steps formula that guarantees to give you and your clients the desired results. The first step is to have a plan, the second step is to communicate that plan to your clients, and the third step is to execute that plan. To learn this formula in detail, I will highly encourage you to listen to the podcast.

Andy also says that as an entrepreneur, you should identify your strengths and weaknesses. Once you have identified them, work on your strengths and hire other people to help you in your weak areas. Remember 1 thing: don’t try to improve your weak areas on your own because by doing so you will only waste your time. So hire other people to do this for you. Secondly, hire people based on your core values. And after hiring the right fit, communicate your core values to your employees frequently and teach them how these core values will make them better customer-service-representative. Lastly, make your employees comfortable so that they could make your clients comfortable in return.

Andy is also motivating you to be energetic at work, at home, and wherever they go. He says that whether you are going to work or you are going to meet somebody, bring your energy with you because it makes you more attractive and brings more opportunities into your life.

Today’s podcast has a lot more than you just read, so tune in and enjoy the conversation.

Awareness to Sex Trafficking w/ Scott Lumley

Scott Lumley; Business Owner, Author, and Philanthropist.

Today’s Episode Summary:

A lot of us, who are doing businesses, are doing so for a sole purpose and that is: “to have luxuries of life”. However, there are very few people who attach some bigger and better purpose to their business, and my today's guest -Scott Lumley- is one of those few people.

Scott Lumley is a successful business owner and a philanthropist. He started his very first business during high school. Then step by step he kept moving on his entrepreneurial path and transitioned from bankruptcy and probation (to do business) to establishing multiple successful businesses. Behind establishing multiple businesses, Scott has a very holy motive whose roots are linked to his traumatic childhood.

Scott was born in a family where his mother was a prostitute and his father was in prison. He grew up in an environment where men around him were constantly trying to abuse him but he kept fighting and protecting himself from the evil hands of those people who were supposed to protect him. At the age of 11, he ran out of his house to save himself but unfortunately, he met with a preacher who abducted him, chained him, and raped him literally every single day for 5 years.

After having himself released from chains, Scott started his life. However, this traumatic duration of his life left lasting effects on him for years and it ultimately led him toward a mission and which is: to bring awareness to sex trafficking, eradicate it from society, and save those children who are suffering from the heinous crime of sexual abuse.

To fund his cause, he has built multiple businesses. He is using resources, generated by his businesses, to fight against sex trafficking. He believes that to wipe out problems from society you cannot rely on donations; you should build your own business because business is what makes money for you to be able to fight these problems. Scott has not chosen a luxurious life for himself rather a large portion of his income goes into charity. Scott is doing all of this work at a very fine level and people have a huge admiration for him for his work.

Scott is the voice of the many helpless kids who are suffering from sexual abuse perpetrated either by their close ones or by any outsider. Scott says that it is the responsibility of every human being to be aware of his surroundings and do whatever you can if you see any kid exhibiting some unusual behavior because that kid may be suffering from sexual abuse. Scott says that you should be able to look at the kid and identify if he/she is ok or not. Also, never let your kids play alone in the streets because they can be so easily abducted from such places. Empower your kids and validate their value so that they could trust you and share with you if anything happens with them. Do not let them suffer alone. Guide your kids, communicate with them, and teach them about these delicacies because if you won’t teach them and just hope that they will know that on their own then you are pushing them into the wrong hands.

To learn more about sex trafficking and how you can avoid that to happen, tune in and listen till the end.

Creating Success That Speaks For Itself

Sir Marco Robinson; Bestselling Author, Award-Winning Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, Prime Time TV Star, Business Tycoon, and Speaker.

Today’s Episode Summary:

After achieving success in anything, have you ever asked yourself "what would be my next achievement"? If you haven't then you should better ask yourself this question because success is not a "once in a lifetime" kind of thing, it is a process that should continue with your life. My today's guest, Marco Robinson, is someone who kept achieving success again and again and did not stop himself on his very first success considering it “once and for all”.

Marco Robinson has a very impressive and long list of achievements but behind his successful life, there is a very difficult and challenging childhood. When he was 2 years old, Marco’s mother left Marco’s father and decided to go back to her family because Marco’s father was involved in gambling and had blown away her entire money. When Marco’s mother went back to her family, along with little Marco, her step-father thrown her out of the house and refused to shelter them. Afterward, the homeless mother and son started struggling for their survival, and meanwhile, his mother got married to a person who later on turned into a violent person. In this abusive environment Marco grew up as a traumatized and shy person, and then at the age of 15 an incident happened in Marco’s life that gave him courage to stand up against all odds of his life.

Marco wanted to change his life and wanted to achieve success so badly that he worked tirelessly to build himself and his business. Determined Marco started the journey from being a salesperson and with few years, with the help of a mentor, he changed his density forever and set himself on the path of achievements one after another.  Marco says that his mentor gave him a book on sales called “bring out the magic in your mind” by Al Koran which proved as a real game-changer in his sales career.

Afterward, he built a strong reputation and received countless job opportunities from everywhere in the world. He was offered to run a public company in Malaysia which he accepted and started working in Malaysia. A few months later economy of Malaysia collapsed but regardless of that he turned this ordinary Malaysian company into a billion-dollar company.

Then another sequence of achievements began in his life; he started his own company that went successful, he wrote a book that became the best selling, he started his TV show "Get a House for Free” on Channel 4 TV Station in the UK (where he gives houses away to the homeless and underprivileged people). He also made a movie "Legacy of Lies” that stood 4th on NETFLIX and also won 19 awards and TEN for the best feature film of 2020.

He was also given the honorary title “knighthood” for helping the blinds in Malaysia to be allowed to keep guide-dogs in public places (that was not allowed in Malaysia before). This initiative started with a successful short documentary "Are You Blind" that attracted over 15 million viewers on Youtube and facebook. This documentary opened many new doors of opportunities for him and he also attracted a lot of fame and attention from the world.

Tragic story of a resilient woman

Nina Aouilk; communicator, speaker, author, and life coach.

Today’s Episode Summary:

Today’s guest, Nina Aouilk, is the true definition of a strong woman. She was born in a family where gender-based discrimination was at its max. Her birth as a girl child was a stigma for her family so they kept abusing her physically, mentally, and even sexually. Not only in her childhood but abuse followed her throughout her life. At the age of 14, her drunk father along with his friends raped her in her own house. She was raped several times and ended up becoming pregnant at the age of 15. After the abortion, she tried to take her life considering it "not worth living" but she survived.

At the age of 16, she was forced into an arranged marriage with a boy who was the son of one of the men who raped her. After marriage, she fought for 4 years with her father-in-law who was constantly trying to rape her again. At the age of 21, she escaped back to her parent’s home thinking it was a good move to get away from an abusive life. But her family beat her up on her return, because in their culture “if you leave your marital home, you bring shame upon your family”. Her parents planned to kill her in the name of honor but she escaped from her home and saved her life.

After that, she started living with a person who offered her a place to live and ended up becoming pregnant with his child. The story of her abuse was not over yet. Her partner was also abusive and as a result of domestic violence, she lost her second child. Later on, she had 2 more kids and his partner kept abusing her and kept trying several times to murder her but she saved her life every time. She was not vocal about this abuse because she grew up seeing nothing but abuse and when you start your life from a point like that it becomes very hard to feel confident in your own being to stand against something like this. Anyhow, keeping the abusive environment in perspective, she sent her elder child to a boarding school while the younger one was staying with her. With the growing violence at home, her younger child attracted a disease due to depression and ended up becoming hospitalized. One day when her partner tried to kill her, by setting the whole house on fire, her elder son saved her life and they ran away from their home forever.

After ending 23 years of an abusive relationship, homeless, Nina struggled a lot to keep her children’s life going. She didn’t want to be hurt anymore and she didn’t want to give up. So, she did multiple cleaning jobs at a time and completely dedicated her life to make her children’s life better. With her belief that there is still something bigger and better out there and life will be better one day, she kept going with perseverance.

Finally, she freed herself from limiting beliefs and achieved a good life for herself and her children. Now she is living her life on her own terms and with a purpose and a mission. She coaches other people to see meaning and purpose in their life. Her objective is to reach as many people as she can, who are feeling lost in life, to liberate them from shackles that are stopping them to be happy and successful in life.

Nina’s story is worth listening t

Creating your success w/ Jessica McLaren

Guest Profile:

Jessica McLaren; Owner of the company “Next Level Life”, Family and relationship coach, and a community builder.

Today’s Episode Summary:

Today’s guest, Jessica McLaren, transitioned from being a principal teacher to an entrepreneur. She came into the world of entrepreneurship to create an impact on the world and she is doing that very beautifully. Jessica is traveling around the world to help other people to elevate their level of success. Today Jessica is sharing with us her thoughts on becoming an entrepreneur, her travel experience during the pandemic, and her journey of personal transformation.

A lot of people look at entrepreneurs and fascinate their lives and fame but they don’t see their immense hard work. They just see the tip of an iceberg and assume that entrepreneurs have a lot of money and they can do whatever they want to do. But the truth is, being an entrepreneur is not as easy as it appears. It is a difficult path and it is almost synonymous with going through a grind. But if you are an entrepreneur by your choice and you are doing something that you love – regardless of how many hours you are putting in – and your work is truly aligned with your core values then you don’t feel the hard work. Rather you willingly put hours into your work.

Jessica says that to achieve success in life you don’t need to live the way society expects you to live. You don’t need to do a 9 to 5 job, you don't need to earn a certain level of income to be happy, and you don't need to retire at a certain age – work as many days as you want. Live your life the way you want to live it and make your own decisions because we achieve success only when we live authentically as our true selves, at our soul level, and in alignment with our true mission, purpose, and passion in life. But if we put our energy into something that doesn't relate to us then we cannot be successful.

Don’t avoid or suppress your emotions because emotion is a powerful tool and every human emotion serves a greater purpose. Moreover, live in the present moment and don’t bother yourself about the past because you cannot change it. Let your past go and enjoy your present. You cannot change your past but you can manipulate your future through visualization and manifestation. Also, don’t try to control the uncontrollable events of your life and surrender in front of uncontrollable things and then see the magic.

Listen to the podcast to learn in detail how all of these things work together and take you toward success. Tune in and enjoy the conversation.

Making disabilities your super power w/ Keyen Lage

Keyen Lage; leadership coach

Today’s Episode Summary:

My guest, Keyen, is a leadership coach but before starting his coaching business he was an athlete and a national football player. Due to an accident, he sustained some serious injuries and lost his ability to play football forever. After this catastrophic incident, he transitioned to his second life and started a new journey with a new purpose.

Keyen says that his limitation gave him fulfillment because a lot of people are chasing their dreams and trying to accomplish their dreams, but they are forever operating in the position of finding identity in the pursuit of their dreams. Throughout their life, they keep finding their identity and their happiness becomes dependent on their identity, achievements, and success. They don’t feel independent and it becomes very difficult for them to live a contented life.

We, human beings, attach so many identities to ourselves that are actually limiting our potential and growth and it becomes very difficult for us to separate them from us. We attach ourselves too much to the earthly titles that if these titles are snatched away from us we become sad. We think we are nothing without these titles and identities. Keyen promotes the idea of ‘being ok with being in a place without titles’. He says that your identity and happiness shouldn’t be wrapped up by your success.

There is nothing wrong with achieving success but we take the extra pressure of success by considering it as our only point of survival. This idealization of success not only creates stresses in our lives but it also affects our process of success. We, human beings, are very hard on ourselves. We pressurize ourselves to achieve more and more and there is no finish line. We motivate ourselves with the belief of ‘Do or Die’ that shows how addicted we are to succeed.

Addiction has different faces. In-fact, there are 2 categories of addiction. One category involves addiction of drugs, porn, alcohol, sex, etc. While other category includes addiction of achievements, addiction of success, addiction of helping others, addiction of religion, etc. The second category is more dangerous than the first category because the rate of people in this category is more than the other one. But we don’t feel these are also addictive behaviors because society glorifies them. Society does not see that the other side of this submission or idealization is a lot of sadness.

To live a contented, happy, and successful life we need to detach our happiness from these identities and change the programming that society has inculcated in our brains. We need to live our life without being so concerned about the definitions of success created by society and we need to live our life on our own terms and that is what’s called real living.

Marketing vs. Branding w/ Ruben Alvarez

Ruben Alverez; Digital Marketing and Branding Specialist.

Today’s Episode Summary:

How you are marketing and branding your business determines if your business will be successful or not. The right marketing and branding strategies contribute to the overall growth of your business and without focusing on them, you cannot get your business right. My guest, Ruben Alverez, is a marketing and branding expert and today we are having conversation about the role of marketing and branding in growing a business.

Marketing and branding are two very important factors and everything else in the business depend on them. Branding is important to a business because of the overall impact it makes on your business. It changes how people perceive your brand and increases your brand awareness. However, digital marketing helps you to reach more people and ultimately helps you to generate more sales. So, whether you are a small business, startup, partnership or corporation, marketing and branding are equally important for you. You need both strategies to take your business to the next level and if you will miss any one of them, the outcome will not be as desired.

Ruben also talks about the concept of money leverage and time leverage. As a business owner, your focus should be to maximize your business without investing your time. It is not viable for a business owner to wear multiple hats so, hire someone else instead of doing everything on your own. Hiring the right person for your work saves your time and it also saves you from unnecessary stress. Hiring the right fit for your work is an investment and if you don't do that and you try to do everything on your own then your business will not go anywhere.

Moreover, we are having conversation about the podcasting model. The beauty of the podcasting model is that it is an evergreen model. It does not require your focus all the time rather it works on its own. You just put your content and it works for you with the passage of time without your involvement.

An important strategy for a podcaster is to relate his own story in the podcast. Ruben suggests that if you are a podcaster, you should not relate your story over and over again in the same fashion because your audience will get bored of you. You can relate your story multiple times but with a new spice and along with different information. Ruben is explaining in detail how you can make your story engaging. To know the details of podcasting and the right marketing and branding strategies, listen to the podcast till the end.

Stop waiting and get started today w/ Tomas Kennan

Tomas Kennan; Business and Success Coach, Bestselling Author, and the Host of Step It Up Entrepreneur Podcast.

Today’s Episode Summary:

My today’s guest, Tomas Kennan, started his entrepreneurial journey from a very humble beginning. He started his journey from being a custom car audio installer and after continuous struggles, he achieved his jackpot; he transitioned from being a technician to the CEO of top-class installations. Tomas is now working as a business coach and helps other entrepreneurs in multiplying their business. Today Tomas is sharing with us his entrepreneurial journey and his life lessons so that we could learn and use his experience to our advantage.

Tomas tried and experienced multiple things before reaching his ultimate 'Why'. He encourages people that you shouldn't stop trying to reach your jackpot regardless of how many No's you hear in life. He says that you will hear a bunch of no's in the process of success, so instead of stopping you should observe your decisions and your path, get lessons from it, and move on.

When Tomas started his first business, he used to do everything on his own. He was operating as a filter, which passes everything, which led him to close his business as a result of his damaged health. Thomas says that he wanted to build a business that is reliant on him only, but that was not the right thing to do. Handling everything in your business on your own is not a professional way to handle a business. If you will start doing that, your business will become a stressful business and it will cost you your health. Most business people ignore their health and give their whole self to their business and their business ultimately consumes them. We as human beings need to priorities our health over everything else because work is not the only thing that matters in life.

After the first failed attempt of business, Tomas learned the business from various coaches and came back into the world of business. He transitioned from the car audio installer and started the Installation Company specializing in GPS tracking and dashboard camera installation in commercial trucks. He started this new business at the time of recession, but he was confident that he will make it work and he did it. He says that it’s not a recession that could stop you from doing something great; it can only be your own self. There is never a right time to start a business, get married, buy a house, have kids, etc. Just do it now and stop waiting for the perfect moment. Simple is that: Take the risk, Do it now, and Make it work.

Tomas also discusses that if you have a growth mindset and you are involved in any self-development process then you should also bring other people around you in this process. For example, you should bring your spouse into the process of self-development so that he/she could also grow with you. Your spouse’s involvement will not only benefit him/her but it will also benefit you. If you will not involve your spouse in the growth circle then your partner won’t grow and ultimately you both will have nothing to talk about.  So, bring your partner in the growth circle, involve hi/her with you, and grow together.
