Making disabilities your super power w/ Keyen Lage

Keyen Lage; leadership coach

Today’s Episode Summary:

My guest, Keyen, is a leadership coach but before starting his coaching business he was an athlete and a national football player. Due to an accident, he sustained some serious injuries and lost his ability to play football forever. After this catastrophic incident, he transitioned to his second life and started a new journey with a new purpose.

Keyen says that his limitation gave him fulfillment because a lot of people are chasing their dreams and trying to accomplish their dreams, but they are forever operating in the position of finding identity in the pursuit of their dreams. Throughout their life, they keep finding their identity and their happiness becomes dependent on their identity, achievements, and success. They don’t feel independent and it becomes very difficult for them to live a contented life.

We, human beings, attach so many identities to ourselves that are actually limiting our potential and growth and it becomes very difficult for us to separate them from us. We attach ourselves too much to the earthly titles that if these titles are snatched away from us we become sad. We think we are nothing without these titles and identities. Keyen promotes the idea of ‘being ok with being in a place without titles’. He says that your identity and happiness shouldn’t be wrapped up by your success.

There is nothing wrong with achieving success but we take the extra pressure of success by considering it as our only point of survival. This idealization of success not only creates stresses in our lives but it also affects our process of success. We, human beings, are very hard on ourselves. We pressurize ourselves to achieve more and more and there is no finish line. We motivate ourselves with the belief of ‘Do or Die’ that shows how addicted we are to succeed.

Addiction has different faces. In-fact, there are 2 categories of addiction. One category involves addiction of drugs, porn, alcohol, sex, etc. While other category includes addiction of achievements, addiction of success, addiction of helping others, addiction of religion, etc. The second category is more dangerous than the first category because the rate of people in this category is more than the other one. But we don’t feel these are also addictive behaviors because society glorifies them. Society does not see that the other side of this submission or idealization is a lot of sadness.

To live a contented, happy, and successful life we need to detach our happiness from these identities and change the programming that society has inculcated in our brains. We need to live our life without being so concerned about the definitions of success created by society and we need to live our life on our own terms and that is what’s called real living.

Marketing vs. Branding w/ Ruben Alvarez

Ruben Alverez; Digital Marketing and Branding Specialist.

Today’s Episode Summary:

How you are marketing and branding your business determines if your business will be successful or not. The right marketing and branding strategies contribute to the overall growth of your business and without focusing on them, you cannot get your business right. My guest, Ruben Alverez, is a marketing and branding expert and today we are having conversation about the role of marketing and branding in growing a business.

Marketing and branding are two very important factors and everything else in the business depend on them. Branding is important to a business because of the overall impact it makes on your business. It changes how people perceive your brand and increases your brand awareness. However, digital marketing helps you to reach more people and ultimately helps you to generate more sales. So, whether you are a small business, startup, partnership or corporation, marketing and branding are equally important for you. You need both strategies to take your business to the next level and if you will miss any one of them, the outcome will not be as desired.

Ruben also talks about the concept of money leverage and time leverage. As a business owner, your focus should be to maximize your business without investing your time. It is not viable for a business owner to wear multiple hats so, hire someone else instead of doing everything on your own. Hiring the right person for your work saves your time and it also saves you from unnecessary stress. Hiring the right fit for your work is an investment and if you don't do that and you try to do everything on your own then your business will not go anywhere.

Moreover, we are having conversation about the podcasting model. The beauty of the podcasting model is that it is an evergreen model. It does not require your focus all the time rather it works on its own. You just put your content and it works for you with the passage of time without your involvement.

An important strategy for a podcaster is to relate his own story in the podcast. Ruben suggests that if you are a podcaster, you should not relate your story over and over again in the same fashion because your audience will get bored of you. You can relate your story multiple times but with a new spice and along with different information. Ruben is explaining in detail how you can make your story engaging. To know the details of podcasting and the right marketing and branding strategies, listen to the podcast till the end.

Stop waiting and get started today w/ Tomas Kennan

Tomas Kennan; Business and Success Coach, Bestselling Author, and the Host of Step It Up Entrepreneur Podcast.

Today’s Episode Summary:

My today’s guest, Tomas Kennan, started his entrepreneurial journey from a very humble beginning. He started his journey from being a custom car audio installer and after continuous struggles, he achieved his jackpot; he transitioned from being a technician to the CEO of top-class installations. Tomas is now working as a business coach and helps other entrepreneurs in multiplying their business. Today Tomas is sharing with us his entrepreneurial journey and his life lessons so that we could learn and use his experience to our advantage.

Tomas tried and experienced multiple things before reaching his ultimate 'Why'. He encourages people that you shouldn't stop trying to reach your jackpot regardless of how many No's you hear in life. He says that you will hear a bunch of no's in the process of success, so instead of stopping you should observe your decisions and your path, get lessons from it, and move on.

When Tomas started his first business, he used to do everything on his own. He was operating as a filter, which passes everything, which led him to close his business as a result of his damaged health. Thomas says that he wanted to build a business that is reliant on him only, but that was not the right thing to do. Handling everything in your business on your own is not a professional way to handle a business. If you will start doing that, your business will become a stressful business and it will cost you your health. Most business people ignore their health and give their whole self to their business and their business ultimately consumes them. We as human beings need to priorities our health over everything else because work is not the only thing that matters in life.

After the first failed attempt of business, Tomas learned the business from various coaches and came back into the world of business. He transitioned from the car audio installer and started the Installation Company specializing in GPS tracking and dashboard camera installation in commercial trucks. He started this new business at the time of recession, but he was confident that he will make it work and he did it. He says that it’s not a recession that could stop you from doing something great; it can only be your own self. There is never a right time to start a business, get married, buy a house, have kids, etc. Just do it now and stop waiting for the perfect moment. Simple is that: Take the risk, Do it now, and Make it work.

Tomas also discusses that if you have a growth mindset and you are involved in any self-development process then you should also bring other people around you in this process. For example, you should bring your spouse into the process of self-development so that he/she could also grow with you. Your spouse’s involvement will not only benefit him/her but it will also benefit you. If you will not involve your spouse in the growth circle then your partner won’t grow and ultimately you both will have nothing to talk about.  So, bring your partner in the growth circle, involve hi/her with you, and grow together.

Why achieving faster is not always better w/ Danielle Sabrina

Guest Profile:

Danielle Sabrina; founder of Tribe Builder Media, an award-winning boutique PR firm.

Today’s Episode Summary:

My today’s guest, Danielle Sabrina, is a female entrepreneur who started her career on Wall Street at the age of 19 – which made her the youngest trader in the industry- and now she is running her own agency. At the age of 19, she had 2 kids and pretty difficult life but her struggles made her cross all the hurdles and she achieved what most females business owners aspire to achieve.

If you also want to achieve a goal and want to achieve it quickly, then maybe this is the time that you divorce the myth of ‘achieving quick’. Success is not a quick trip, whether you like it or not but you have to go through a process to achieve it. Success is more like a ladder that you have to climb slowly and gradually and you cannot hasten because achieving faster is not always better.

Also, spirituality has a huge connection to achieving success. Spiritual practices – like meditation and affirmations – have the power to guide your thoughts at the time of chaos and help you to stay connected with your goal. Those who are aware of the power of manifestation and energy climb this ladder of success faster than those who don’t know.

If your goal is to grow a certain amount of money then figure-out the right MODEL that can generate that, and then give yourself time; just don’t hasten. If you stumble, communicate with someone but don’t suffer alone and also be authentic to yourself and with others. You may stumble many times in the process of success but you should be a man/woman enough to connect back to your purpose and keep claiming the ladder.

This is not it, there is a lot more to this episode. Listen to the podcast till the end.

The power of new habits w/ Emily Thomas

Guest Profile:

Emily Thomas; founder of Sundari Swim brand, entrepreneur, educator, and a business coach.

Today’s Episode Summary:

Have you ever realized the power of incorporating new habits in your life? Incorporating small but consistent habits –like, rising early, reading books, listening to a productive conversation, etc- may look like they are not creating any impact on your life instantaneously but they have a huge compound effect on your life. The truth is, these atomic habits have the power to change the course of your life and can lead you toward your goal; success.

To unlock your true potential you first need to understand yourself and ask yourself some hard questions – like, what you are good at, what it is that you want in your life, how you can be a better person, etc – and then you need to incorporate new habits that are in alignment with your goal.

The biggest hurdle – that anyone faces while inculcating new habits – is the whirlwind of "busy life”. For most people their new habits get lost in the whirlwind of day-to-day life but if you want to reach your goal you really need to prioritize what you need in life over the whirlwind.

Now comes the question, how can you develop long lasting habits? For that, you need to understand that consistency is the key. A consistent new habit breaks old patterns and changes neural pathways in your brain that shifts you dramatically. My guest Emily is suggesting that you should maintain a diary to write your goals, ambitions, and your habits to be consistent in your habits.

Emily Thomas herself helps entrepreneurs and other people to know their true selves and helps them to remove blockages in their lives that are holding them back to achieve their goals. She is an educator and works on the mindsets to unpack the true power of the people. Emily combined her ability to educate people with her swimwear business and now she is creating an impact on the lives of many people especially women.

What You Will Learn from this Episode:

In today’s episode, you will learn how significantly new habits can change your life, how you can develop any new habit, how to break the illusion of “being busy” to create a new habit, and why developing new habits is super important for entrepreneurs. My guest Emily is also talking about the impact of deliberately incorporating new habits in her own life and how she is helping other people to unfold their true selves and achieve success.

Moreover, you will learn what is the role of intentions to achieve any goal, how to get out of any negative feeling and focus on goals, what is the role of visualization and affirmations in your success, what are some necessary questions that you must ask yourself to elevate yourself, and last but not the least how to get rid of two shackles: 1. Haunting memories of the past 2. Fear of the future.

Henry Kellem; entrepreneur, storyteller, investor, and philanthropist.

Henry Kellem, is known for his vision “Dirt road to Rodeo”. Henry developed this vision as a child when he had nothing; he was poor, working in fields, and had a broken family. Henry changed his life of misery to a life of fulfillment through visualization, manifestation, understanding the power of the subconscious mind, and practicing certain behaviors. Today he is talking to us about these spiritual practices and how science backs them to be true.

Naturally, our brain is wired to look at the negativity in the world. Especially if you grew you with lacks and limitations that all you talk about throughout your life, and ultimately these negative thoughts wire negative patterns into your brain. These negative thought patterns impact you on biological and neurological level, for example, negative thoughts turn on the stress response system in our body that releases certain chemicals and hormones which suppress our immune system.

If you are stuck in life, you need to understand your brain and change its thought pattern by breaking old self-destructive neural networks. You have to understand that your brain lets you see what you believe, so you have to guard and reject every negative thought coming into your brain. You also have to deliberately inculcate positive thoughts into your brain because negativity is like weeds – which grow on their own – but to grow flowers you have to nurture them.

Another thing that helps you to create a new thought pattern is VISUALIZATION. Visualization helps you to plant thoughts into your subconscious mind and you start doing things automatically.

Secondly, you manifest what you visualize because our brain does not know the difference between imagination and reality, so, it’s better to trick your mind by visualizing the things that you want in your life.  Your subconscious mind will enroll all these practices and give you your desired results.

This is only 1/3 of the podcast, there is a lot more you can learn from this episode. So, tune-in and listen to this worth listening podcast.

What You Will Learn from this Episode:

In today’s episode, you will learn the scientific reasons behind certain human behaviors. You will learn how thinking positive or negative changes biochemistry of our brain, how negative thoughts suppress our immune system, how high Cortisol level in the morning impacts our behaviors, what worry, fear, and anger does to your brain and body, what’s the relationship between human body and energy, and how your perceptions, beliefs, and words impact your brain?

Also, you will learn how your inside is the reflection of the outside, why we often give reactive responses, what's the role of the subconscious mind in generating automatic and reactive responses, how you create thought pattern of your kids, why our mind is wired to look negativity in the world, how imagination rewires your brain, why social cohesion makes you live longer, an

#1 Sales Talk with The Sales CEO

In the world of business, your growth depends upon your preparation in every sector of your business. One of the most important sectors of your business that always needs preparation is your sales team and your sales process. Your sales team needs to be well trained on the subject of "sales" and this sales training is not the game of once and for all; you have to consistently train the sales team over and over again to drive the desired results.

I am The Sales CEO and I help companies and individuals to fill the holes in their sales process. I have been helping people with their sales team, their sales process, and their company culture. Since, I have the authority to talk about sales so here are my few sales tips for you to take your sales to the next level.

  1. If you are a salesperson, follow a definite sales process. First, do some research about your client and his company before meeting him/her. Secondly, ask yourself what you can offer to your client and why he/she should choose you? And thirdly, look at the social cues of your client during the meeting and try to understand your client's concerns. All that means, you need to be socially-aware and self-aware so that you could build a custom plan for your client according to his needs.
  2. Make your client comfortable with you coming into his house and be trustworthy.
  3. Most of the time your client cannot see the holes in his boat but you as a salesperson can see. So, it's your job to look at the whole picture of your client's problem and solve it as a whole to avoid any inconsistency that can come in the future.
  4. Be aware of your client's needs and wants and offer them what is best for them; not what they think is best and also not what you think will pay you more.
  5. Be honest and genuine in your dealings. Be the salesperson who wants to enhance his customer's life and it will ultimately give you happiness and also it may pay you back in the form of more referrals in the future. So, you should be wise enough to maintain your honesty and integrity along with selling intelligently.

This is not it, there are many factors that you as a salesperson should count in your sales process to close more deals. So, if you are struggling with your sales team or sales process then I am here to help you. I will help you with your sales team to generate more sales for your company.

Alex Terranova; performance coach, author of “Fictional Authenticity”, and host of The Dream Mason podcast.

There are many traits that a great business leader possesses in his personality. In today’s episode I am discussing many of those traits with my guest, Alex Terranova. One of the prominent traits of a great leader is the habit of reading books. You must have heard a proverb “leader is a reader”, that’s 100% true. But most of the readers today make a mistake while reading; they keep reading books one after another but they don’t implement it. Remember that reading hundreds of books won’t lead you toward success, but, implementing even a single book 100% will definitely change your destiny.

Another thing that you need to grow yourself is to find MENTORS. Mentors are the ones who can help you to get where u always dream to be and without them your journey of success would be long and hard as well. So, find someone who could shape you and guide you toward your jackpot.  Secondly, you not only need to seek mentors but you also need to be a mentor to someone. Help other people to grow because your success won’t mean anything if everyone around you will be living a miserable life. Helping other people selflessly with good intentions creates a positive impact on other person’s life and that is something you cannot measure on any scale. Remember that your good intentions pay you back in numerous ways because it is the law of nature that whatever you put into the world, you are going to get it.

Also, you as a leader need to balance out every dimension of your life; you need to build good relationships with people, with your clients, and with your loved ones because your relationships play vital role in leading you toward success. You also need to have a balanced approach to look at opposite views of people; listen to them, understand then and try to figure out a balanced way.

Last but not the least, if you want to be successful in life, you don’t need massive steps; start taking small steps to improve yourself and show up to the world as an energetic person and it will make you a charismatic successful leader of your organization.

What You will Learn from this Episode:

In today’s episode you will learn from Alex about many traits that you as a leader must possess. Alex is talking about importance of reading books, how he used to read books, and what you need to do when it comes to reading. Moreover, you will learn what you need to do if you are not good at something, how a mentor can ease your journey of success, what is the importance of building good relationships, how your choices impact your lives, how you should deal with people who disagree with you, why you should not pay so much attention to politics and how it is distracting you, why you need to help other people if you want to improve your life, and what is the importance of having good intentions and helping people selflessly? In the end we are discussing what you need to do if you want to make more money or want to improve your life in any context.

This is not it; you will learn a lot more from this episode. As a human being we all have some room for improvement, so, if you want to improve yourself as a business owner or as a leader of any organization then must listen to this podcast to know more detail.

Everything you need to know about Virtual Selling in 2020

Episode Summary:
Before Covid-19 pandemic hit our planet almost all businesses were operating in a setting where clients used
to meet face to face with their seller before buying their services. It has no doubt that meeting face to face is
an effective way of wining trust of your clients and selling them your services, but it’s not possible anymore.
Covid-19 has changed the sales process throughout the world. Now you cannot have one on one meeting
with your clients but there is a great alternative available to you and that is VIRTUAL SELLING.
Now a days the reality of the world is virtual selling and video meetings. You have to adopt these virtual
means of communication and you have to learn all these new methods of selling if you want to grow your
business now. Even today many people think that they cannot operate their business virtually, it’s because
they have so many stereotypes about virtual selling and video calling. Also, a lot of people don’t feel
comfortable in doing zoom meetings because they fear judgment, they fear looking stupid on video, and they
fear rejection. But all these fears are only illusions of your mind, they are not real. So what you need is to
break all those fears and stereotypes. If you don’t feel comfortable with video calls then go somewhere and
practice video recording; practice again and again until you overcome your fears. Pay attention to your body
language, pay attention to your tonality, pay attention to your background where you are sitting, pay
attention to the lights, and most importantly pay attention to your emotional intelligence while video calling.
Because virtual calling is not very much different from your live meetings and your clients can sense all these
things, so make sure everything is proper.
Video calling is the best method available to you now to connect with your clients and not only that it saves a
lot of your time as well. From now on virtual selling is not going anywhere, so, it’s important for you, more
than ever, to adopt these virtual means of communication if you want to make more money. And if you won’t
adopt these virtual means of communication and virtual selling then you are going to lose your business at
the end of the day. So, if you don’t want to go out of business, then get on board to virtual selling.
